Why we started Wellgrove
Wellgrove began with a simple frustration. Between us, our founding clinicians had spent decades in busy NHS and private practices — and watched good care get squeezed into ten-minute slots, with patients waiting weeks or months just to be seen. We knew it could be done differently.
So in 2019 we opened our own clinic on Cornwall Road, a short walk from the centre of Harrogate. The idea was straightforward: bring the everyday and the specialist under one calm roof, give every appointment the time it deserves, and make the whole thing easy to access — no referral, no registration, no jargon.
Today Wellgrove is home to eighteen clinicians across six specialties, but the ethos hasn't changed. We put the patient first, we explain things properly, and we're upfront about cost. That's the clinic we always wanted to be seen at — so it's the one we built.
